NEWS : Paul Dillon sells Pretender memorabilia items on Ebay !
No need to tell you a long story, let Paul speak himself :
"To the Fans,
Warm wishes to one and all ! I hope this finds you loving life in all its complexity and enjoying new programs as you enjoyed the show we loved and still miss, The Pretender. These few pieces I prepare to part with are small treasures that were bestowed upon me by the producers, and if I recall correctly, the additional generosity of Michael T. and Andrea, while I played Angelo.
The specific details of precisely whose generosity led to the presentation of what and when are beyond me now, but the facts are certainly known and recalled by those who hearts and wallets opened, and can presumably be researched by the avidly curious. If I misspeak it is my gentle error without intent to mislead.
The sole item unique to me is obviously the crew chair bearing my name. You are probably all familiar with the rituals of the set where the actors called to work on a given day in a given location have their own chair set up for them somewhere coveniently near to the camera. A place for them to stow their personal effects and to perch restfully until they are ready to shoot. To date, this is the only television chair that has borne my name. It is a place of importance, silently proclaiming that this actor belongs in the company and in the world of the series. Shows routinely present those performers fortunate enough to earn one with the chairback at the wrap of the series.
